Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, who became a father for the second time on Tuesday, says his newborn daughter resembles his wife Twinkle.
"We are blessed with a lovely baby girl, who looks just like her mother and grandmother (veteran actress Dimple Kapadia)," the 45-year-old said in a statement.
Twinkle delivered the baby, their second child after 10-year-old son Aarav, at the Breach Candy Hospital on Tuesday morning.
Akshay was in Jaipur on Monday evening to promote his forthcoming film Oh My God, but rushed back to Mumbai to be by his wife's side. He is extremely happy.
"I have no words to express my happiness. I would like to thank everyone for their blessings and best wishes," added the actor.
"Twinkle was blessed with a baby girl this morning," Twinkle's mother, veteran actress Dimple Kapadia, told IANS.

The first teaser of superstar Rajinikanth-starrer Tamil period-drama "Kochadaiyaan"is out.
The film will feature Rajinikanth in dual role, while Sarath Kumar, Shobana, Aadi Pinisetty and Nassar will be seen in important roles.
Also starring Deepika Padukone and Jackie Shroff, "Kochadaiyaan" is touted to be India's first motion capture technology film being made along the lines of Hollywood films like "Avatar" and "Tin Tin".
Reportedly being made on a budget of over Rs.100 crore, "Kochadaiyaan" is directed by Rajinikanth's daughter Soundarya Ashwin and jointly produced by Eros International and Media One Global Entertainment.
The film will be dubbed in Telugu as "Vikrama Simha". It will also dubbed in Hindi, Malayalam and foreign languages such as Japanese, Italian and Spanish.
1 (Nenokkadine) is a romantic action entertainer in which, Mahesh babu will be seen as rockstar. Mumbai based model and Kathak dancer Kriti Sanon is playing the female lead role in this movie.

On the eve of Mahesh Babu’s birthday, makers of One Nenokkadine have released a new teaser of 32 second runtime. Mahesh looks handsome and as we said earlier, there are no dialogues in the video. Mahesh is seen with serious expressions thinking of something. There is some action where Mahesh is seen chasing the baddies. Usually, Hollywood action films are made with such pattern of sober ambience. The lighting and shot composition stood fantastic.
Good thing about video is Mahesh is seen totally rather than the silhouette. Gautam Krishna and Kriti Sanon aren't spotted in the teaser, as we reported earlier. Devi Sri Prasad’s background score is good. Frankly speaking they haven’t showed or revealed anything in the teaser. They released the video just as a birthday gift to fans. Even fans are happy as their hero is clearly visible in the teaser. Once again, a very happy birthday to Mahesh Babu!

Mahesh Babu, on Wednesday, said that his son Gautham Krishna might act in his upcoming movie No 1, Nenokkadine. He mentioned that his son might act in the flashback episode of the movie.
The movie No 1, Nenokkadine is directed by Sukumar, and the trailer and initial poster was released recently. He mentioned that the movie will have a strong story line and there are chances for his son to act in it. When asked if he would want to remake any of his father's movies. He denied saying, all his fathers movies are priceless and they cannot be remade. He also said he does not want to spoil those movie by trying to remake them.
Mahesh had acted in many movies with his father Superstar Krishna. He seem to be taking his son in the same path by making him get used to the film industry. Does this mean his son will enter Telugu film industry when he grows up just like his father? We just have to wait and watch. For now, we hope we get to watch the little Prince on silver screen. Sanju (Allu Arjun) is a guitarist who operates a band in Barcelona. Komali (Amala Paul) goes to Barcelona to learn more about violin in an university. Akanksha (Catherina Tresa) is the daughter of a central minister. She comes to Barcelona for studies. Akanksha gets hold of a diary in which she reads the love story between Sanju and Komali. In the process, she gets interested in Sanju and falls in love with him as he seems to be single. The rest of the story is all about what happened to Komali.
Artists Performance
Allu Arjun: Allu Arjun has come up with fantastic looks and intense expressions for this movie. He has got nice mass mannerism which he has used it to full extent. The interval fight in which he gives an expression that he is going to kill everybody is really good. He comes up with mass as well as sophisticated steps. The steps in Top Lechipoddi are of top-notch. Mega fans will have a moment to cherish as Allu Arjun dances for Gang Leader title song. There are reference dialogues of Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan.
iddarammailathoOthers: Amapa Paul is adorable as a traditional Brahmin girl. Catherine Tresa looks very glamorous and dances pretty well. With a bit of fine-tuning she can become big in Telugu films. Brahmanandam has done the role of music teacher in a foreign university. He entertains in the first half. However, the separate comedy track of Brahmanandam and Ali reminds us of 90’s routine comedy tracks. Shawar Ali is okay as the main villain. Subbaraju has done the role of a villain brother and it’s a typical role for him. Tanikella Bhrani, Rao Ramesh, Nassar, Pragati, Priya, Tulasi etc did the roles of parents of main leads. Srinivas Reddy is wasted in a dialogue-less role.
Final Analysis First half of the film is entertaining. The beginning of second half meanders due to lack of story (all time-pass scenes like Brahmanandam-Ali are inserted). Movie has an interesting twist towards the climax. Plus points are Allu Arjun, Iddarammayilu (Amala Paul & Catherin), Puri’s dialogues and technical aspects. On the flipside, emotions didn't work. A screenplay with direct hero/villain conflict established to audiences at the beginning would have made the movie more interesting. On a whole, Iddarammailatho is a slick flick with romance and action thrown in. We need to wait and see how audiences embrace the movie.
Junior NTR is now busy with the shooting of his new film ‘Ramayya Vastavayya’ and this is being directed by Harish Shankar. till sometime back, the film was being projected as a complete youthful entertainer and the young tiger will be seen in the role of a college student. This was appealing to the youth audience.
But if one has to hear the latest reports the chances are that ‘Ramayya Vastavayya’ might bring some controversy along. The last few months have been somewhat disturbing for Junior NTR in real life due to the TDP controversy and some differences with the Nandamuri family. Some elements of this are expected to be covered.
Tamil actor Suriya-starrer action-drama "Singam 2" is expected to release in the second of week of June.
"The film ('Singam 2') is currently undergoing post-production work. It will have a grand audio launch on June 1 followed by worldwide release in the second week of the same month," said a statement from the production house.
"Singam 2" is a sequel to highly successful 2010 Tamil action-drama "Singam", which was also remade in Hindi as "Singham" with Ajay Devgn.
Hari Gopalakrishnan, who had directed the first part, wielded the megaphone for the sequel too.
The film also features Anushka Shetty, Hansika Motwani, Vivek, Santhanam, Radha Ravi, Nassar, Vijay Kumar, K. Vishwanath and Manorama.
Having been canned in Chennai, Hyderabad and Kerala, it has also been shot in places such as Malaysia and South Africa.
The film is produced by S. Lakshman Kumar and has music by Devi Sri Prasad, who had scored for the original too.

With just a few days left for the release of Mani Ratnam’s Kadal, the makers are working to ensure that the movie gets a big opening. The film, which marks the acting debut of Gautham Karthik, son of yesteryear lover-boy Karthik, and Tulasi, daughter of veteran actress Radha, will release on February 1, and bookings are set to open from January 30.
With the release of Kamal Haasan’s Vishwaroopam being delayed owing to the ban clamped by the Tamil Nadu state government following objections raised by some Muslim outfits, the number of theatres available for screening Kadal is likely to change as well.
Kadal, a much-expected movie from Mani Ratnam, features a line-up of stars, including Arjun, Arvind Swamy, Thambi Ramaiah and others, while AR Rahman’s music has created quite a buzz already.

Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu - is an upcoming Telugu film written and directed by Puri Jagannath. The film stars Pawan Kalyan and Tamannaah in lead role and was launched in Hyderabad on March 14, 2012.[4] Filming started from June 15, 2012.
The shooting part of Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming film Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu is nearing complete. So far, the entire talkie part has been completed and the shooting will be wrapped up later this month after the remaining two songs in the film are shot.
On the whole there are five songs in the film. Pawan Kalyan and Puri Jagannadh are teaming up after 11 years and their previous film Badri was a huge hit. Ever since the film was announced, the expectations on this hit combination have shot through the roof. Gandharva Mahal is an ancestral property of Rayudu (Prabhu) who lets it out for rents. He has two daughters. He wants to marry off his elder daughter and the boy’s side want Gandharva Mahal as dowry. That is when an youngster (Manoj) arrives at Gandharva Mahal and rents a bachelor room. There is a legacy to Gandharva Mahal and a bitter episode that takes place four decades back which haunts the house. Rest of story is all about why this youngster entered Gandharva Mahal and what he has done to bring back the past glory.
Artists Performance:
Bala Krishna Nandamuri: Bala Krishna’s role is excellent and he has done extraordinary job. He is regal and imperial due to body language and looks. His look has personified the character he portrayed. His dialogues are good and entertaining.
Manoj Manchu: Manoj is known for variety in his roles and he carried it off with this film too. His introduction episodes are intriguing, but we realise it later that these episodes are part of the justification to the title UKUP. Manoj is a kind of an actor who doesn’t want himself to restrict the parameters drawn around the hero character in Telugu cinema. If you like Manoj, your admiration will grow multi-fold after seeing him certain episodes.
Movie CAST
Uu Kodathara Ulikki Padathara Movie Cast has been carefully selected and those are all apt for that. Lakshmi Manchu steals the show with a role that is spread across decades. Her make-up and body language is apt for the aged-role. Deeksha Seth is good. She looks more glamorous in this movie. Sonu Sood is excellent in the negative role. Sai Kumar does another negative character with poise. Prabhu suits the role. Bhanu Chandar gets a suitable role after many years. Ajay is good as mantrikudu, but somebody else dubbed his voice (may be to get heavier voice). Panchi Bora is pretty as Bala Krishna’s wife. Simer Motwani looks majestic as Bala Krishna’s sister. Madhumita played Deeksha's sister.
Technical Departments:
The story of the film is about how a passionate zamindar made sure that Gandharva Mahal remains as a memory of his ancestors despite certain forces trying to disintegrate the pride of Gandharva Mahal. Screenplay is slow in the first hour, but pace picks up once Bala Krishna character enters. There are a couple of unexpected twists in the second half.
Music by Bobo Shashi is good. Anuragam song (original by Vidya Sagar) is pretty melodius and helped the flashback episode. Idi Ani Idi Ani tune is my personal favorite. Background score by Chinna is nice. Cinematography by Rajasekhar is an asset. Visual effects done by Pixion, Chennai are good (especially the Ghostrider kind of horse shots). Dialogues are good. Dialogues written to Manoj Manchu are mostly casual and naughty, dialogue written to Bala Krishna are powerful. Editing is okay. Action choreography by Manoj Manchu deserves a special mention. Art director Bhupati has done a fabulous work with Gandharva Mahal. This Mahal looks different in different time lines. Producer Lakshmi Manchu should be appreciated for passionately believing and investing in the story line that is different from routine commercial stuff.
Final Analysis:
UKUP is a special film for two reasons. One is that it introduces a big star like Bala Krishna in a vital role. If big stars accept story oriented films and act as per demand of the role instead of looking for equal screen space, it’s good for the industry. The second reason is that the producer has passionately invested on the project though it’s a story oriented film with a bit of experimentation. Films like should be accepted and encouraged. Watch it for the performances of Bala Krishna Nandamuri, Manoj Manchu and Lakshmi Manchu. And for the spectacular Gandharva Mahal set!
